What you've managed to provide for us all has been beyond any expectation. I think it is such a huge testament that we all want to carry on meeting up, to continue to support each other and have a much needed giggle and place to be!

A collective poem, by the mums of the Spring Moreton-in-Marsh wellbeing group
Nobody told me how difficult sleep deprivation would be – especially with post partum.
Or how anxious I would be Or how rewarding it would be to be smiled at And how much they enjoy learning. Nobody told me what an amazing dad my husband would be – he’s like a duck to water About the problems with baby reflux Or that I’d be scared of having two children on my own Or that I would like the smell of nappies. Nobody told me how long it would take to recover after giving birth Or how much your priorities change - in a good way That I’d be so forgetful Or that I’d stick with breastfeeding as long as I have. Nobody told me how one smile can make your day – no matter how hard it’s been. Or how much I’d forget and have to write down what I do each day That I’d feel this much dislike for my child and smash my chopping board because of it Or how much love I’d feel for my children – it’s a double sided chopping board… |
