an imaginative, stereotype-busting home theatre experience that can’t be confined ... It’s equal parts theatre, comic book and circus – a hybrid unlike any children’s show we’ve seen ... [it's] threatening to burst out of the screen.

Some might be Plink and others are Boo
Why does it matter, what’s the to-do? Jumbled up people and boxes too small; Let’s make a den and discover it all... Welcome to the topsy turvy world of Play-Along Plink and Boo. Join us for a beautifully filmed circus-theatre adventure, as we explore what happens when people don’t fit into boxes (even if it is the neatest place to put them).
Before watching the performance we invite you to find or make some simple props from around your house. During the show you'll use these to play along with what's happening on the screen, from the comfort of your own home. |
Play-Along Plink and Boo is the whole package; it’s accessible, it’s joyous and it’s clearly been created with children at its heart ... a delightful performance where we can explore the magic within our own uniqueness, without being confined to a box.

Building a theatre denWhy not make the occasion special by building your very own theatre den to watch the show from?
In this video, Thea, the youngest member of the Can't Sit Still team, shows you how to do just that, using everyday items you can find around the home. We love to see send pictures of your family enjoying the show from your dens - you can send them via our social media channels: |
And lastly, do as much as you have time for, and don't worry about the rest. As parents ourselves, we know that anyone looking after children is likely to be busy! You'll still have a great time watching the show with or without the props and den.
We cannot recommend Play-Along Plink and Boo strongly enough to anyone who is looking for an engaging, thought-provoking piece of family theatre to watch from the comfort of their own home.

If you've seen this show and enjoyed the music, now you can take it home with you! The music was composed especially for us by the hugely talented Harriet Riley, who also performed in the show. To buy it and keep it forever, simply hit 'buy' on the left. The whole album costs £6, and profits go towards supporting our artists and company to make more work like this in the future.

Accessibility
I wanted to say thank you for your performance of plink and boo at the freedom festival. My daughter has additional needs so the accessibility videos were really helpful before hand. She loved the den and fairy lights idea and was so excited for the show. She absolutely loved it with all the interactive bits as well. She was beside herself with excitement afterwards. So thank you all for the performance and all the extra work that went into making the show accessible for all children. It means the world to myself and my daughter.
- Freedom Festival audience member, via email.
Introducing the cast We want our shows to be accessible to as many people as possible. If you are unsure about what to expect from this experience, we made some videos to introduce you to our three performers. A note on language: Play-Along Plink and Boo uses minimal text. The performers use Sign Supported English (SSE) to accompany the few words that are used. The animation in the film helps to illustrate the sounds and music used, as well as creatively captioning the text. |
